The residency program has at its core the artistic development in performing arts. The program serves the goal of the Dance House Lemesos that focus on encouraging the continuous progress of local choreographers, dancers and artists from the field of performing arts, their participation within the broader European dance/performing arts scene, as well as the reinforcement of audience engagement.

The program supports the development of experimental and cross-disciplinary art and invites emerging as well as mature professional artists who live in Cyprus to submit their proposals. The call is open for artists -being active in performing arts- that approach the wider notion in relation to the body with various artistic means. Proposals may concern the creation or the development of a current idea, a solo or collaborative work that critically investigates, challenges, and extends the existing norms and practices of performing arts. The program focuses mainly on the creative process and artistic development-and not on the production and presentation of a work- through artistic mentoring, feedback sessions, various representational methods and sharings/outreach to the wider artistic community. Artists that were previously selected for the program are eligible to apply again. Dance House Lemesos Moving the New-Artistic Development Program is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Culture, Department of Contemporary Culture.
